Will Gibson, current leader of the Legends Cars Championship and the 2023 Legends Cars title winner, is to represent England in November’s grand ‘World Finals’ event in the USA after today, Saturday, 7th September, confirming his participation.
Receiving an invitation to compete with the Go Motorsport squad in the 28th staging of the road course World Finals at Virginia International Raceway between Friday, 15th November, and Sunday, 17th November, Gibson is thrilled to be flying the flag for UK Legends Cars racing.
Set to take on the best Legends Cars drivers from across the globe, and marking his first ever race meeting in the USA, Gibson cannot wait to head Stateside and is absolutely relishing the opportunity to showcase his skills on the world stage.
Speaking at Snetterton 300 Circuit in Norfolk earlier this afternoon, where he is competing in the penultimate event of the 2024 Legends Cars Championship season, Gibson said he is aiming to bring the World crown back to England.
“We’ve had an invitation to go and represent England in the World Finals in one of the new-style Legends with the water-cooled engine and front and rear disc brakes”, he commented, “We’ll be flying out in November to VIR and we’re going to try and do something that’s not been done in a while, win the World Championship for England! Go Motorsport had a space available for a Pro driver, so we’ll go out there and give it hell!”
