Newly crowned Legends Cars Champion Tyler Read (Daventry) and Legends Cars Championship owner Will Gibson (Farnborough) are to head a six-driver British challenge on this year’s INEX Road Course World Finals, which get underway in Las Vegas at the end of October.

Taking place at the world-famous Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Nevada, USA, between Friday, 30th October and Sunday, 1st November, the World Finals – as the name rightly suggests – attract the best Legends Cars racers worldwide to battle it out for the coveted title of World Champion.

Read, who successfully defended his Legends Cars crown here in the UK at Donington Park Grand Prix Circuit just over a week ago, having already sealed his second Elite Cup title earlier in the season, will be racing in the Pro class with North Carolina squad Three Sixteen Motorsports.

Legends Cars Championship owner Gibson, who won the UK title back-to-back in 2023 and 2024, makes a very welcome return to competitive action in the World Finals and enters the Masters division along with the increasingly competitive Ben Mahoney (Horley). They will run as team-mates with Las Vegas-based Third Gen Race Cars.

Father and son duo Mike and Oli Schlup (Cuckfield) will team-up at Mike Doss Racing, with Schlup Snr running in the Masters class and Oli, who ended this season’s Legends Cars Championship fourth in the overall standings, mounting a major challenge in the Pro division for the Californian squad.

Daniel Pooley (March) completes the six members of the British contingent heading out to the States in a few weeks’ time. The former British, European and World Grand Prix Midgets Champion has entered the Semi-Pro class and will be piloting a Winchel Racing prepared car.

The weekend schedule will see practice sessions on the Friday, before additional practice, qualifying and Heats races the following day. Sunday will consist of hot laps before the feature races for each of the classes – Young Lions, Semi-Pros, Masters and Pros.

Will Gibson – Legends Cars Championship Owner:
“It’s fantastic we’re taking so many drivers across to America for this year’s World Finals, and I’m obviously looking forward to being back in competitive action after focusing on the running of the championship here this season.

“Legends Cars are worldwide, there are championships right across the globe, and I’m really pleased myself, Tyler, Oli and Mike, Ben and Daniel are going to Vegas. We all want to showcase the best of British and how competitive the drivers racing Legends Cars in the UK are. The World Finals are an incredible experience to be part of, and what better place than Vegas for this year’s event.”
