High quality television coverage is making a welcome return to the Legends Cars National Championship this season, with the full 15 round and 45 race campaign to receive excellent exposure through a new partnership with Digitex Television.
Across 15 one-hour highlights broadcasts, which will be sponsored by Parc Lanes Cars Ltd and available across a variety of platforms, the pocket rockets of the UK’s most action-packed championship will once more benefit from superb coverage as they tour the country’s top circuits.
Through the link-up with Barry Welch’s Digitex, which last provided first class filming and production for the Legends back in 2019 during the category’s 25th anniversary season, the racing will feature on Amazon in the UK, USA and Canada, on the Freesports HD channel in the UK and Samsung TV in the UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
It will also be carried On Demand through the Discovery-owned MotorTrend in the USA and Canada, the largest automotive platform in North America, Sporty Stuff online, the Ayozat streaming channel (formerly Showcase) and MAV TV in the USA. Furthermore, all of the content will be added to the Legends Cars YouTube page and the official series website www.legendsracingeurope.com
Notably, commentating duties for the Legends Cars National Championship action will be undertaken by renowned motorsport broadcaster Richard John Neil – the unmistakable and highly knowledgeable ‘voice of Legends’ for many years.
Starting off at Oulton Park in Cheshire just under a fortnight from now, the 2022 Legends Cars National Championship season will also visit Brands Hatch in Kent – on no fewer than three occasions – Pembrey and Anglesey in Wales, Donington in Leicestershire and Snetterton in Norfolk.
Running alongside the behemoths of the British Truck Racing Championship at five events, the Legends Cars will also once again play a key role on the eclectic race schedule at June’s massively popular American Speedfest at Brands Hatch.
Commenting on the new 2022 deal with Digitex TV, Legends Cars National Championship owner Phil Cooper said: “We really are absolutely delighted to be resuming our partnership with Barry Welch and Digitex for the coming season and, of course, with the added bonus of Richard John Neil looking after commentary. We’ve put together a fantastic package for the new season, across all 45 races.
“This wouldn’t have been possible without the sponsorship of Parc Lane Cars, so we’re extremely grateful to them for helping us provide top class coverage once again which the Legends Cars absolutely deserves. With the programmes available on Amazon, Freesports HD and across a wide variety of online providers, both in the UK and overseas, the exposure is going to be fantastic.”
Round one, the opening three races of the 2022 season, will take place at Oulton Park International Circuit in Cheshire on Saturday, 2nd April.
